State of the Philippine Environment 2018 Forum

The Philippines is endowed with rich natural resources that can be utilized for national development. Despite this, the past years have seen great destruction of flora and fauna, habitats and loss of livelihoods due to the destruction of different ecosystems that had great impacts at the local and national level. The development aggression and heightened extraction of raw materials persists and continues as well as the profit-driven corporate plunder.

With these issues, we cannot afford to turn a blind eye. It is imperative to raising awareness that will become the foundation for taking action. It is in this light that the Center of Environmental Concerns – Philippines (CEC) and the Kalikasan People’s Network for the Environment launches the State of the Philippine Environment 2018 Forum.
