Green Convergence for Safe Food, Healthy Environment and Sustainable Economy (GC) is a broad coalition of environmental advocates, guided by our Principles of Unity,
collaborating critically with and influencing government, civil society, churches and business by providing a platform for knowledge sharing for awareness raising and enabling national transformation towards ecological development.
One of its projects is this research on current ecological practices of parishes which covered the period January 2018 – December 2019.
In partnership with Global Catholic Climate Movement (GCCM) Pilipinas, headed by Fr. John Leydon and the National Secretariat for Social Action of the Catholic Bishop’s
Conference of the Philippines (CBCP-NASSA), with its Executive Secretary, Fr. Edwin A. Gariguez, the survey instrument was crafted and sent out to parishes of dioceses under the ecclesiastical territories of Metro Manila, Sierra Madre, Bacolod and Samar, Palawan, Bukidnon and Misamis.
